Joel Epstein is Managing Director and Principal of the Toledo, Ohio, office and brings solid business experience to his executive recruiting practice. His career as a search consultant was preceded by a wide array of leadership positions for companies ranging from established organizations to entrepreneurial enterprises. His executive search practice specialties include higher education and nonprofit organizations, banking and financial services, entrepreneurial and venture-backed companies and public companies. His search career began with his role as Regional Vice President and Managing Director for Stratford Group, a retained executive search firm.

Prior to entering executive search, Joel founded and managed several entrepreneurial ventures in healthcare and technology. These industries were as diverse as software development and publishing, chemical development, medical imaging and medical testing. Throughout his professional career, Joel has developed strategic relationships with Fortune 500 companies as well as government and defense industry contractors. Earlier, Joel was associated with Trustcorp, Inc. for 17 years, reaching the position of President and CEO, managing the lead bank of their holding company.

Joel earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo. He has served on the board of directors of Community Mutual Insurance Company, the Toledo Hospital and as Chairman of the University of Toledo Foundation. He was formerly on the board of the Ohio Bankers Association and has served on numerous corporate, industry and community boards.
