Based in the Columbus, Ohio, office, Ellen Rhoades is a Managing Director with 15 years of executive search consulting, corporate recruiting and operation staffing experience. She has successfully completed executive search, research and consulting assignments for leading retail, manufacturing, banking, insurance, industrial and professional service clients.

Prior to joining WAVERLY PARTNERS, Ellen served as Director of Talent Acquisition for the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, a $3 billion consumer lawn and garden products manufacturer. Her responsibilities included leadership and strategic direction of talent acquisition, contingent labor, background investigations and human resource compliance and policy functions.

Prior to joining Scotts, Ellen held talent acquisition leadership positions for Limited Brands, a $10 billion specialty retailer, including posts in the corporate New York office. While at Limited Brands, she led centralized sourcing, staffing process, recruitment technology, employment branding, vendor management and temporary labor initiatives.

She began her executive search career with Stratford Group, a top executive search firm. Ellen served as Director of Research Services with oversight of the firm's industry research group and later functioned as a senior search consultant. Her early career experience includes more than 10 years as a corporate research librarian and information services consultant for industry leaders in strategy consulting, Big Four audit, tax and advisory services, investment banking and online information service providers.

Ellen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science degree in Library & Information Science from Columbia University.
