J. GREGORY JACKSON

Greg Jackson is a Managing Director of Waverly Partners, LLC and is based in Charlotte, NC.  Waverly Partners is a national retained executive search firm with offices in Atlanta GA, Charleston SC, Charlotte NC, Cleveland OH, Kansas City KS, Louisville KY and Toledo OH.

Throughout Mr. Jackson’s 22 years in the executive search industry, he has conducted a wide variety of senior engagements at the CEO/president and general manager levels. In addition, he has executed numerous functional assignments in operations, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain management, marketing and sales. His client relationships have included such companies as Aearo Corporation, Danaher Corporation, Federal-Mogul Corporation, Honeywell International, Ingersoll-Rand Company, Kennametal Inc., The Stanley Works, Terex, and United Technologies Corporation. Mr. Jackson has partnered with numerous mid-sized and venture capital-backed portfolio companies, as well as non-U.S. multinationals to provide counsel on succession-planning, leadership assessment and market intelligence.

Prior to joining Waverly Partners, Mr. Jackson was Managing Director of his own search firm, the Spinnaker Group, in Charlotte.   Previously, he served as a Director with Spencer Stuart and led the global capital equipment and electronics sectors within that firm’s industrial executive search practice. Before joining Spencer Stuart, Mr. Jackson was a Vice President/Managing Director with Korn/Ferry International, where he led the capital equipment and durable goods sector for the North American Industrial Practice and established the firm’s Supply Chain Management Center of Excellence. He also served briefly as Vice President and Director of Executive Search at Wachovia Corporation.

Mr. Jackson’s early career included working for KPMG Peat Marwick’s executive search practice and serving as Assistant Director of Admissions for his alma mater, Lynchburg College. He holds a B.A. in English from the College and serves as a member of the Alumni Admissions Board.
