MATTHEW D. CLEMENS

Matt Clemens is Managing Director of Waverly Partners, and is based in the firm’s office in Cleveland.  Waverly Partners is a national retained executive search firm with offices in Atlanta GA, Charleston SC, Charlotte NC, Cleveland OH, Kansas City KS, Louisville KY and Toledo OH.

He has over 19 years of executive search, recruiting and operational experience.  Matt’s executive search assignments span mid-management to senior executive levels for general management, sales and marketing, supply chain, engineering, logistics, quality, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, human resources and finance positions.   Matt has worked with clients in instrumentation, automation and controls, smart grid, power transmission and distribution, power generation, energy consulting, information technology, and consumer and industrial manufacturing.

Prior to joining Waverly Partners, Matt was a Director at Christian & Timbers, one of the nation’s top technology-focused executive search firms, and at StratfordGroup, a “top 20” executive search firm.  Earlier, he served as Director for the Professional Recruiting division of Spherion Corporation, a Fortune 500 human resources consulting company.  Matt began his career in a series of sales and operations management assignments with General Electric and Roadway Express Corporation. 

Matt earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Villanova University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Cleveland State University.
